Nifty offers mobile and fixed-site car washing, detailing, as well as vehicle decontamination and other services to fleets, residences, and office parks. What does a technician do?

The Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services on vehicles, car wash and details, and vehicle decontamination. This position is expected to carry out all responsibilities through to completion with minimal supervision. 

• Write up work orders

• Wash and detail vehicles

• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles while performing services;

• Complete vehicle decontamination cleaning services

• Ensure that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with company standards

• Maintains records of time, materials, and work performed

• Communicate effectively with management and our customers

• Build positive relationships with employees and customers

• Other duties as assigned

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Basic computer and math skills

• Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license and be 18 years of age

• Flexibility in scheduling which may include nights weekends and holidays

• Desire to learn a new set of skills

• Tech-savvy with a smart phone

 

Nice to Haves:

• Customer service experience

• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (tire rotation, oil changes, brakes, etc.)

• Fleet experience (rental cars, trucks, etc.)

• Passion for all things automotive

 

Working conditions:

This job will involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, dust/dirt and exhaust fumes.

• Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods;

• Must be able to push, pull, bend at the knees and waist, lift, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, climb steps, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, all of this for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the day
